Simon & Schuster is seeking a Distribution Clients Sales Director. This role will be responsible for managing the team responsible for selling all adult and children’s titles across the entire domestic trade account base. Responsibilities include working with distribution clients and our accounts to maximize sales, develop targeted account strategies, provide regular market feedback to publishers, and overseeing all sales efforts both directly and indirectly for our Distribution Client business.

Qualified candidate will have:

· A minimum of 10 years publishing experience including at least 5 years sales and management experience.
· Be well versed in all channels of distribution (bookstores, jobbers, mass retail and online).
· Strong product knowledge and understanding of the adult and children’s publishing process.
· Be highly organized with the ability to problem solve, prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
· Superior communication and presentation skills.
· Proactive and able to adapt to a rapidly evolving marketplace
· Proven ability to work in a team environment
