As the Marketing Director for One World, you will be reporting to the Director of Marketing and Business Development for the Random House Group. This new position is responsible for working primarily on the One World list – but also at times across the division – to find new multicultural audiences and create awareness for our books (inside and outside of traditional books spaces) via innovative marketing tactics and outreach.

Our host of imprints – including Ballantine Bantam Dell, Clarkon Potter, Crown, Christian Publishing/Forum, Del Rey, Dial Press, Harmony, The Modern Library, One World, Rodale, Random House and Ten Speed – publish original fiction and nonfiction in all formats with the mission to entertain, enlighten and inspire readers for generations.

Responsibilities:
* Works closely with One World publishing team, as well as the integrated marketing team, to create, communicate, and implement marketing campaigns for a variety of titles, both fiction and non-fiction.
* Collaborates directly with publishers, authors, and agents to communicate, refine, and execute marketing plans.
* Researches and identifies new target groups within multicultural audiences.
* Flexibly manages book promotion plans and budgets that grow and change over time.
* Collaborates with authors to maximize campaign effectiveness, including increasing social media platforms and working collaboratively to build author brand.
* Pitches organizations, VIPs, social media influencers, and partners for cross-promotional opportunities for single titles as appropriate and in concert with larger team.

Requirements:
* 6-7 years minimum experience in marketing, with a specific focus on multicultural marketing
* Expertise in multicultural marketing tactics and outreach
* Fluency in consumer insights, sales analysis and budgeting
* Experience with media planning
* Expertise in key marketing concepts and tools including email, social media marketing, search marketing, as well as traditional book marketing methods
* Motivated self-starter and collaborator
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
