Requirements:
Client Publisher Sales Manager is responsible for representing the clients’ interests internally, with Sales Departments, and with the Publicity Department to ensure they are fully integrated and to maximize sales

•Manage five client publishers and oversee single title distributions

•Represent client publishers at key seasonal meetings:
-Internal Launch meetings
-Launch Meetings and Sales Conferences with Sales teams
-Bi-weekly Conference calls and ad hoc consultations as needed
-Represent Client’s interests with domestic distributor, with International Sales Department, and Publicity Department

•Ensure all seasonal functions are properly managed for each client publisher:
-Review initial title lists for marketability, sales potential and work with client publishers to focus lists as appropriate
-Help client publishers prepare for Launch Meetings and Sales Conferences
-Review and help prepare as necessary all materials for sales meetings, presentations, catalogs, and sales calls
-Coordinate with Sales and Publicity Departments to provide supplemental materials and information as needed
-Oversee the Print and Bind and Sales Estimate processes for client publishers

•Promote the sales of client publishers’ titles:
-Sell and promote client titles at conferences and trade shows
-Generate sales leads for client publishers’ titles
-Coordinate with International Sales Dept to sell client publishers’ titles as appropriate

•Stock Maintenance:
-Review orders and inventory levels on a daily and weekly basis to determine stock needs
-Provide long term sales projections and estimates of stock needs to ensure maximum in-stock status

Experience and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years’ experience in illustrated book publishing sales and/or retail. Candidate will be organized, responsive, and pro-active; able to anticipate problems and issues and address the needs of the clients.
