About the Job:
Scribd is seeking a Content Acquisition Associate to join Scribd’s quickly growing international content team. We are looking for someone with a passion for working in non-US markets who can contribute significantly to Scribd’s international expansion plans.

Position is located in New York City. Limited travel may be necessary.

You Will:
Conduct extensive research on the publishing industry in non-US countries.
Identify both English and non-English publisher prospects in various markets based on an understanding of Scribd’s current partnerships and existing catalog.
Perform and track outreach and follow-ups across hundreds of publisher targets simultaneously.
Work with the Content Operations team to guide publishers through the on-boarding process and manage ongoing publisher relationships.
Coordinate with other Scribd teams on international merchandising, PR, and marketing.
Develop proficiency with Tableau, Hue, and Nielsen to extract and analyze internal data.
Prepare internal and external pitch presentations and conduct business reviews.
Support special initiatives that may include acquiring rights, evaluating specific books/authors for publication, and researching non-book content for possible inclusion in Scribd’s service

You Have:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in publishing or other content-centric industry.
Experience working with a variety of international partners and adjusting to different cultures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to your audience.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities.
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, and familiarity with data analysis tools like Tableau.
Affinity for and experience in start-up or fast-growth environments that are high-energy, cross-functional, and highly collaborative.
Data analysis, SQL query, and foreign language skills a plus.
