Requirements:
The Wylie Agency is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its New York office as a receptionist. Responsibilities will include reading and evaluating manuscripts, maintaining the smooth functioning of the office environment, managing rights requests and related inquiries, and working with permission requests, contracts, and payments. You must be able to prioritize multiple tasks under the pressure of deadlines, employ critical thinking, and work well within a team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a necessity, and the candidate must be detail-oriented and extremely well-organized. One to two years of prior work experience in an office environment is preferred. Experience in the book publishing industry is a plus, but not mandatory. The ideal applicant has familiarity with and enthusiasm for the authors we represent. Applicants must be available to start full-time work in New York on an immediate basis. A bachelor's degree is required.
