Chronicle Books has an exciting opening for a Junior Production Developer. The person in this role will shepherd books and non-books through the production development process while supporting the company’s mission, strategy, and objectives.

From creative inception to getting books in the warehouse, the Junior Production Developer will work with our Editorial, Sales, Marketing, and Design teams in generating title-specific specifications with an eye toward manufacturing efficiencies and concept interpretation. Responsibilities range from maintaining title purchase orders for outside vendors, calculating unit costs, updating pricing spreadsheets, liaising between publishing teams and printers, and coordinating special print projects.

Applicants should have at least 1 to 2 years print project management experience in publishing, working knowledge of print manufacturing processes, Adobe Suite familiarity, strong Excel skills, effective organizational and multitasking abilities, and a talent for clear communication.
