Requirements:
The purpose of the Marketing Analytics Manager is to leverage data to facilitate decision-making surrounding the growth and development of direct-to-consumer channels. The Marketing Analytics Manager will analyze website, social media, sales, and advertising trends using a variety of tools to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations that will allow marketers to provide a more engaging customer experience.

This role will also oversee Marketing Strategy’s training and support of Hachette’s social planning and advertising; SEO; and content management systems across each of the company’s various publishing divisions. In addition, (s)he will craft and field consumer marketing surveys in order to inform marketing decisions being made throughout Hachette. This position reports to the VP of Marketing Strategy.

The Marketing Analytics Manager will have the following responsibilities:

Deliver weekly and monthly reporting on web traffic, social media, email marketing, and social media advertising analytics with insight on KPIs and relevant trends across the company.
Analyze data to improve consumer acquisition and engagement and identify ways to gain a deeper understanding of HBG’s readers.
Play a key role in determining technologies used in the digital marketing space and be a subject matter expert in those technologies.
Work closely and collaboratively with Strategic Technology and Digital Marketers within HBG’s publishing units to plan and deliver tools and reporting that encourage both database growth and consumer retention.
Develop and field consumer marketing surveys and report on results to facilitate decision-making at the imprint level.

Requirements:

3-5 years experience in digital marketing analysis and reporting with a proven track record of successfully leading marketing technology rollouts.
Deep experience leveraging social media and online marketing campaigns to grow consumer reach and optimization.
Ability to analyze problems and solutions from a company-wide perspective and effectively manage relationships to implement change.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings regardless of audience.
Must be highly organized and results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed.
Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
Proficiency in Excel required.
Knowledge of Google Analytics required.
Knowledge of Wordpress, HTML, and CSS a plus.
Knowledge of Python and SQL a plus.
