Requirements:
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, one of the world's leading publishers, is seeking a Publicist at HMH Books for Young Readers.

The person in this position will develop and implement publicity campaigns for assigned titles and identify top media targets; write and design effective press releases, pitch letters and follow up emails; arrange author tours, secure interviews, reviews, and feature coverage for titles; and cultivate and maintain relationships with media, online influencers and bloggers.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required, as are an excellent phone manner and the ability to handle multiple tasks. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, and active in social media. We're looking for someone who loves and has a strong knowledge of children s and young adult books, is creative, and can add expertise to our terrific team.

Minimum requirements:

BA or equivalent, 2 plus years in publicity department, publishing course or internship

Experience in Childrens or Young Reader books preferred
