An excellent opportunity to join Bloomsbury’s Inventory/Sales Operations team as a Special Interest Inventory Planner. You will be responsible for managing the inventory and shortrun program for the Special Interest list from first print to end of life, ensuring stock availability for the list in the US.

The Role
Managing the print list for all Special Interest titles. Works closely with our sister company in the UK to ensure global stock availability and maintain close working relationships within other departments and our distribution warehouse.

Responsible for all aspects of the print list
•Monitor inventory rate of movement and suggest reorders/reprints to maximize stock availability while limiting exposure to over-stock situations.
•Running and providing analysis for the weekly reprint meeting
•Monitor and track stock movement between our UK warehouse and the US warehouse with freight forwarders including direct shipments from US and FE vendors.
•Maintain publication and release schedules.
•Manager excess inventory and make proposals for remainders, UK returns and pulps.
•Running ad hoc analysis as needed to make recommendations for improving inventory management.
•Assist Head of Inventory with Kids and Adult list as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience
Essential
•Experience analysing large data sets
•Ability to manage a busy workload
•Experience interpreting sales figures
•Intermediate knowledge of Excel – including VLOOKUP
•Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships
•Ability to exercise initiative and work independently at times
Advantageous – training will be provided
•Experience managing inventory across different territories
•Previous experience in reprint analysis, decision making and scheduling
•Import and export experience within book publishing
•A working knowledge of Biblio and Vista or similar publishing systems
•An understanding of trade publishing
