Position Description:

This position is responsible for managing and growing Macmillan book sales in the Independent Bookstore channel. Must maintain strong relationships with publishers, offer suggestions for promotion and marketing, evidence deep knowledge of accounts.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage Key and National Account Managers
• Account Analysis
• Travel/Account Meetings
• Attend internal meetings

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Problem Solving
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication
• Deep understanding of publishing business objectives and operations
• Knowledge and understanding of account base

Experience Needed:

• Must have book publishing sales experience in the Independent Field Channel at a Director level or above

Educational Background Required:

• College Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
