Requirements:
Bloomsbury Publishing is seeking an Assistant Production Editor for the adult trade division. This is an entry-level position, ideally suited to someone new to publishing but with a strong interest in managing editorial. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, and attentive to detail.

Primary Responsibilities
• Coordinate with editorial, design, and production departments to input and review corrections for all adult trade paperbacks and reprints
• Copyedit jacket copy, catalog copy, reading group guides, and other in-house material as needed
• Review final files of all books
• Review ebooks
• Attend and prepare materials for weekly production meetings
• Create and maintain book schedules in Biblio

Qualifications/Skills Required
• Bachelor’s degree
• Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
• Working knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style
• Excellent copyediting and proofreading skills and strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Ability to work mostly independently on multiple projects at once
