Overall Responsibilities:

Penguin Random House's Production Operations group is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Corporate Production. This position reports to the Vice President of PRH Production Operations.

The role will be responsible for managing all aspects of reprint production for 3 Penguin Random House adult publishing divisions, 1 children's publisher, and client publishers. In addition, this position will supervise and analyze financials of book production and identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings.

Specific Duties:
* Manage and lead the corporate reprint team consisting of 12 people responsible for executing15k reprints (25k manufacturing purchase orders) annually
* Responsible for the reprint manufacturing of a broad variety of books, including children's novelty, adult 4-color illustrated, and general hardcover and softcover formats that print domestically and overseas
* Develop and implement departmental processes and best practices, ensuring the team is trained and supported
* Interact and collaborate with first print production teams within publishing divisions
* Identify and manage the implementation of cost savings projects, new tools and processes
* Collaborate with first print production teams on the execution of production-related priorities and processes
* Supervise projects related to corporate production operations, the onboarding of new clients, and the development of new suppliers

* 10+ years of senior book production leadership, with experience managing a large team
* Ability to motivate, mentor and develop a strong team
* Strong understanding of all aspects of book production including a strong technical background in 4-color bookmaking and cover printing
* Must understand costing and printer scales, with a strong knowledge of the print vendor landscape
* Experience with 4-color books and domestic and foreign printers
* Ability to work in a team setting
* Collaborative, team player who is process and results driven
* Practical experience in communicating and managing change
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
