W.W. Norton is seeking a Manager for its small, friendly and busy Subsidiary Rights department.
This is a selling position, and will offer independent responsibilities in various markets (from submission through deal-making to contract and beyond), and in seasonal workflow management (notably for bookfairs and rights guides), across the full range of our imprints: Norton Trade, Liveright, Norton Professional Books, Countryman, Norton Young Readers, and College. Domestic rights responsibilities may include serial, audio, book club, film/TV, and reprint rights. Translation rights responsibilities will include management of multiple territories, some via subagents and some direct, as well as book fair attendance.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum three years’ experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Employment eligibility to work with W. W. Norton & Company in the US.
• Must be able to work full business hours from our NYC office location.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must be a quick learner, practical, focused, flexible, efficient, and organized.
• A personable team-player with excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail is absolutely essential.
• Must possess strong computer skills particularly in MS Excel including the ability to build spreadsheets.
