Requirements:
We are currently searching for a Business Development Manager to develop business solutions for OTC customers to generate additional revenue for the company. Manage client accounts and devise new sales ideas, including new sales strategies, sales pitches, and business plans. Apply knowledge of order to cash business and technology in a business development and sales context to attract and secure new customers. Develop solutions that address customer’s needs. Perform due diligence on potential customers to prepare for customer onboarding. Apply structured methodology in the creation of requirements from the business perspective, translated into easily understood formats that are acted upon by the various technical design and development teams in IT. Define the system and functional requirements of technical projects. Serve as a liaison between customers, operations and IT departments. Develop training materials and processes to train customers on customer portal in SAP B1 environment. Work with counterparts in sales and business development in other areas of LSC to present cohesive suite of LSC services.

- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction

- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

- Arrange business meetings with prospective customers. Work with LSC sales team to identify, develop and secure customer prospects using multiple information gathering techniques

- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting customer’s objectives

- Prepare and negotiate contracts ensuring adherence to law and established rules and guidelines

- Keep records of contacts, sales, revenue, invoices etc.

- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

- Apply good knowledge of systems to analyze and make recommendations to develop integrated solutions to resolve business issues. Participate and assist other internal resources in facilitating meetings with customers to understand business needs and identify the best solution.

- Assist in conducting facilitated sessions with customers to define detailed business requirements for solution development and to ensure that customer processes fit within proposed solution. Establish and maintain clear scope boundaries for the solution. Assist in the development of clear and concise functional requirements for the technical developers that are free from ambiguity in an effort to minimize re-work and errors.

- Assist in translating requirements to ensure a clear and concise understanding of requirements. Review test conditions and expected results for product, performance and user acceptance testing.

- Participate in quality management reviews as outlined in the project work plan, and in reviews of the designs, prototypes and other project work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements.

- Train customer employees in use of provided systems to maximize customer satisfaction.

- Perform other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 3 years+ of relevant work experience


Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Self-motivated and self-directed

Experienced at preparing and following strict budget

Experienced at preparing and presenting quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects

Comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role

Comfortable in selling to new customers with a proven sales record

Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge

Consistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance. Apply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routine.

Able to apply very good functional computer knowledge in utilizing technical tools to complete work assignments. Ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position.

Prior experience with SAP systems and with back office operations at a publishing company is a plus but not a prerequisite.

Willingness to travel to visit customers for sales, diligence and training purposes.
