Bonnier Publishing USA is currently recruiting for an experienced, strategic, and decisive Human Resources Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of recruitment, employment law compliance, corporate culture, office management, and employee relations for Bonnier Publishing USA in the NYC headquarters as well as the San Francisco office.

What You'll be Doing:

· Providing guidance, coaching, and support on all HR activities including, but not limited to, employment law, company policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, performance management, and employee relations
· Revising and maintaining employee handbook on laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
· Owning full-cycle recruitment process including, but not limited to, developing job descriptions, placing job advertisements, evaluating candidates, conducting phone screens, scheduling in-person interviews and conducting reference checks as well as building a strong talent pipeline for all departments and positions
· Managing budget for recruitment and internships by tracking and forecasting spending
· Building and maintaining a high-performance culture through performance management processes, goal setting, one-to-ones, performance improvement plans, and coaching
· Managing disciplinary and grievance matters and probationary reviews in conjunction with managers
· Conducting new-employee orientations, employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing
· Partnering closely with the San Francisco based office assistant to ensure all relevant labor posters are in compliance, employee files are maintained, and Human Resources needs are addressed
· Maintaining company organization charts and employee directory
· Processing payroll and manage employee PTO
· Approving freelance requests and draft all freelance contracts and exhibits
· Establishing and maintaining department records and reports, physical and electronic
· Driving and continuously shaping the company culture through the core values and best practices
· Facilitating a working environment that supports optimum workplace wellbeing

What You'll Bring to the Table:

· Knowledge of New York, NY and San Francisco, CA employment law strongly desired
· Experience with ADP Totalsource a plus
· Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university preferred, or college course work and knowledge gained through equivalent work experience
· Ability to partner with and advise senior leadership
· Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently
· Ability to work quickly and decisively in a fast-paced environment
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to work independently and be a strong self starter
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting work relationships
· Ability to think creatively and problem solve
· 5+ years of previous HR experience

Work related travel to San Francisco, CA office is required.
