Requirements:
Workman Publishing is seeking a Senior Manager, Web operations and eCommerce, to join the Digital Operations team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help reshape our digital presence and chart a successful course for Workman’s website strategy. You will have the technical knowledge to oversee all corporate websites, as well as the experience of eCommerce marketing with an eye for inventive product management and online merchandising.

Requirements

• Excellent project manager. Able to multitask and troubleshoot website and eCommerce issues, often communicating with stakeholders while working on the systems integration with IT and developers.
• Well-versed in web content management systems. Charged with overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the corporate websites and associated brand properties.
• Lead and manage complex web design and development projects.
• Monitor and report on analytics for corporate and gift websites, eCommerce, specific campaigns.
• Gather, help define, and document internal requirements for our imprints and books to effectively communicate with our outside developers.
• Anticipate, identify, and mitigate risks and issues, pre- and post-launch.
• Work closely with our outside developers and internal departments to oversee project implementation.
• Partner with Design/UX team to provide input on website design, ensuring design is optimized to meet company and consumer needs.
• Oversee the production of photo/digital assets and perform HTML updates.
• Conduct an audit of our newsletters and eCommerce marketing and look for new/further opportunities such as remarketing and drip campaigns.
• Oversee social media and paid marketing as it relates to eCommerce.

Skills

• Strong grasp of digital platforms with a deep understanding of how content is consumed and shared in today’s digital ecosystem
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate industry and technical jargon for a broader audience
• Ability to lead the creative direction of projects
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, one that requires “hands-on” involvement
• Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other analytics software
• Google AdWords
• Experience with Shopify and other eCommerce systems
• Adobe Photoshop, some Adobe Illustrator
• Project management software including Basecamp, Github, and more
• Wordpress, Craft, Expression Engine, and other content management system experience
• Advance HTML/CSS, some Javascript and PHP
• Cross-functional “literacy”—as evidenced by the ability to work with support functions such as title and metadata management to the websites, marketing, and third-party partners
