SUMMARY:
The Art Director-Marketing will create and manage branded campaigns across varied promotional mediums for diverse audiences, including sales representatives, booksellers and consumers. This professional will develop promotional assets, featuring graphic designs and copy, for print, video and digital platforms, ensuring consistency and helping to brand GCP authors and imprints, contributing to sales growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Oversee, create, and manage asset creation across marketing, advertising, and digital and social media marketing
•Work with the Marketing Director and marketing team to determine creative assets needed for multiple projects each month, project budgets, and deadlines for books published across multiple imprints
•Develop and oversee assets for 8-10 campaigns per month plus high-volume and agile creation of social media assets in direct reaction to social media trends and news relevance
•Work in partnership with advertising team to manage the brand development and asset creation for top tier authors and major advertising campaigns
•Assist in managing a master schedule to make sure key production, marketing, and publishing deadlines are met
•Create advertising and promotional materials, as needed for sales department’s needs and custom retail promotions, including select PowerPoint presentations such as seasonal sales conference presentations and author pitch meetings

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•5-7+ years of related experience
•Proficient in Creative Cloud: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as knowledge of video production and editing with After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent.
•Knowledge of typography, illustration, photography necessary to create designs for multiple formats, including print, digital, and video
•Capacity to develop a cohesive, branded campaign across different assets, mediums, and platforms
•Deep knowledge of what constitutes effective advertising and social media copy
•Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate in individual and group settings, as well as with out-of-house freelance illustrators, designers, and video production professionals.
•Solid working knowledge of the production and printing process and an ability to envision and work with various materials and special effects
•Attention to detail, flexibility, and multiple priority management in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
