 Requirements: 
The Experiment, a dynamic independent nonfiction publisher based in New York, seeks a full-time Sales and Inventory Coordinator. This is a new position, reporting jointly to the publisher and publicity and marketing director, and responsibilities for which will include:
• Monitor sales and inventory of our +200 title list (with an additional 40‒50 new titles published each year).
• Analyze sales data to inform print and reprint quantities
• Generate and analyze regular sales and inventory reports
• Work with key international distribution partners to maintain adequate inventory levels of our titles, provide new product selling information, and the distribution partners liaison with Workman Publishing’s Customer Service and Sales departments
• Work closely with managing editorial, production, marketing, and finance colleagues, as required
• Take and process orders from authors and individuals.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working with a publisher, retailer, or wholesaler, coordinating inventory and/or sales. We look for candidates who are extremely curious and alert to current publishing-industry trends, who think creatively, are unceasing initiative-takers, happy to work both independently and collaboratively, and who have superlative communication skills. Additionally, we seek a candidate who has:
• A Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task An aptitude and interest in learning (and mastering) a variety of software programs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
