 Requirements: 
We are looking for a bright, hard-working person to join the Bloomsbury USA Children’s Editorial team. The Children’s Editorial Assistant supports the Children’s Editorial Department in a wide range of administrative and editorial tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ability to manage multiple projects, objectives and deadlines under pressure
Provide administrative support to Children’s Editorial Director and Vice President of Consumer Publishing when needed
Manage publishing schedule for Children’s Editorial Department
Schedule and prepare for meetings
Read and respond to materials for projects under consideration
Provide editorial support for Children’s Editorial Director’s book projects and acquisitions

Qualifications/Skills Required:

Four-year undergraduate degree in a related field, with a specific interest in children’s books preferred
Highly motivated and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Strong writing and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Creative thinker and problem solver
Solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
Previous internship experience in publishing preferred
Enthusiasm for and knowledge of children’s books
