 Requirements: 
Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for a bright, hard-working, detail-oriented person to join the Bloomsbury USA adult editorial team. The adult editorial assistant supports the adult editorial director/associate publisher and the editorial department in a wide range of editorial and administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

Write editorial materials, including but not limited to, tip sheets, catalog copy, ARC copy, and jacket copy
Provide support for all stages of the production process for the editorial director’s list
Read submissions and provide feedback
Prepare materials for acquisition, including P&L’s and acquisition memos
Review and correct data in our electronic databases
Assist with research with regards to the marketplace and comparison titles
Mail correspondence
Distribute agendas and book conference rooms for large group meetings and take detailed minutes
Create Travel and Expense reports for editorial director each month.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

Four year undergraduate degree in a related field.
Internship experience preferred
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
Highly motivated and detail-oriented; strong organizational skills
Ability to juggle many tasks under pressure
Strong writing skills
Creative thinker and problem solver
Solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
Basic understanding of how to operate electronic reading devices (Kindle, Nook, iPad)
Enthusiasm for and knowledge of adult nonfiction and fiction
