We are currently seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager to conceive and execute book marketing campaigns at HarperOne, an imprint of HarperCollins. HarperOne publishes books that transform and inspire. Core categories include personal development, spirituality, religion, health, and general interest books.

- Plan, develop, and execute successful, detailed title marketing campaigns for approximately 3-6 religion, academic, and mainstream books per season.
- Effectively communicate marketing plans and key analytics to internal and external stakeholders (editors, publicists, authors, agents, etc) in and out of meetings.
- Participate in planning and preparation for seasonal sales meetings as needed.
- Autonomously manage marketing budgets for each assigned title.
- Advise authors on how to grow, build, and engage their social media following and online platform. Serve as hands-on social media manager for authors, when needed.
- Oversee HarperOne presence at two religion tradeshows per year, including planning and attendance.
- Liaise with remote sales team to help drive sales for Christian books.
- Maintain and update one or more HarperOne website properties.
- Develop content and strategy for social posts, email blasts, ads, etc. for title marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with Associate Marketing Director on projects, as needed.

- Minimum of 3-4 years of marketing experience, publishing industry or relevant marketing experience preferred
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to multi-task and work well with different personalities with a positive, can-do attitude
- Exceptional and demonstrated written and oral communications skills
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and organization
- Passion for the book publishing business
- Up-to-date knowledge of the digital publishing landscape and industry trends
- Experience managing budgets
- Demonstrated experience using email and social media as a marketing and sales tool to grow communities and drive product sales
- Demonstrated experience running digital ad campaigns on platforms such as AMS, Google AdWords, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to derive and apply insightful analytics from marketing efforts to campaigns for ongoing optimization
- Familiarity with email and website analytics platforms, HTML, and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Familiarity with the Christian market—culture, potential audiences, and major media outlets—a plus
- Comfortable presenting to groups
