Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, one of the world's leading publishers, is seeking a Sr. Publicity Professional with at least 5-6 years of book and/or food-related publicity experience to join our dynamic and collaborative publicity team. This position reports to the VP, Executive Director of Publicity for the Trade Division and manages 2-3 people.
The person in this position will strategize, develop and execute campaigns for our lead culinary, health and lifestyle titles -- secure national and local media; arrange author tours, book signings, and virtual events; write and design creative press materials, participate in launch, acquisition, marketing, sales conference and other brainstorming meetings.
Headlining authors and franchises on our list include Mark Bittman, Marcus Samuelsson, Dorie Greenspan, The Property Brothers, Jacques Pepin, The WHOLE30, Mike Solomonov, Natalie Morales, Tiffani Thiessen, the RBG Workout, and more.

We're looking for someone with strong, established media contacts, a passionate interest in food, health, diet and pop culture and familiarity with the landscape, top notch communication skills, creativity and an ability to build buzz by tapping into influential online communities.
