 Requirements: 
The Metadata Administrator and Social Media Manager is responsible for the managing the press’s online presence through active promotion of books through social channels, management of the press website and blog, and successful and accurate creation and dissemination of book metadata through online channels.

Essential job functions
Metadata Administrator
• Oversee the press-wide bibliographic database (Biblio3 by Virtusales); corresponding duties include building workflow processes in cooperation with departmental managers, managing the press’s relationship with Virtusales, and providing staff training on a regular basis
• Provide technical support to staff for database-related issues
• Create and disseminate the press’s ONIX book data feed
• Set standards and work with the press to improve data integrity
• Manage data-related projects for sales and marketing department


Social Media Manager
• Work with IT department and web host (Supadü) to maintain and develop the press website and blog
• Create and curate content for the press blog
• Manage email marketing program in concert with course adoption marketing department
• Manage press portfolio of social media accounts (including Twitter, Facebook, etc.) in concert with publicity department
• Maintain records of online promotional activity

Minimum qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and up to 2yrs of related experience required
Additional position-specific minimum qualifications
• Familiarity with ONIX, Biblio, and/or Supadü highly preferred
• Wordpress or website management experience desired
