Reporting to the Royalty Manager for Macmillan Learning, this individual will provide support in a variety of topics related to the preparation and issuance of accurate and timely royalty statements to Authors, Agents, Illustrators, and other parties.
Review and enter royalty contract data into Vista royalty system
Process timely semi-annual royalty statements and related activity files:
Review contract setups
Calculate and enter reserves in accordance with contract and company policies
Review statements to ensure accuracy
Distribute statements to editorial and business units for review
Handle and respond to statement recipients’ inquiries and requests
Interact with business units and other departments to resolve issues
Provide administrative and project-related support
Required Skills / Knowledge:
Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and exercise good judgment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills. Must be able to meet deadlines and multi-task
Computer savvy—comfortable with databases, queries, and spreadsheets
Intermediate Microsoft Excel user
Motivated, disciplined, with high personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
2-3 years relevant experience
Book publishing experience (especially in academic book publishing) preferred
Educational Background Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
