 Requirements: 
W.W. Norton & Company is seeking a detail-oriented individual with an interest in publishing to join our team. As a member of the High School Group, this person will work closely with the sales team, as well as with the High School Director and Marketing Manager on a number of operational initiatives.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

•Acting as a liaison between high school teachers, administrators, AP Summer workshop leaders and the high school sales staff.
•Acting as the main point of contact for 800 number, High School Inbox, and High School web site.
•Facilitating communication between High School Group and contracted sales partners
•Building and coordinating all email marketing campaigns in Campaign Monitor with Marketing Manager
•Creation of marketing collateral in consultation with design group and marketer – sales tools, flyers, correlation guides, reading level assessments, etc.
•Creation and maintenance of sales tools in conjunction with Director and Marketer of High School
•Occasional copywriting for marketing pieces
•Maintenance of sampling lists and other information in Salesforce to reflect price changes and new products
•Monthly tracking of third party sales
•Supervising and managing a department intern in projects such as researching potential sales contacts, enhancing the sales database, and organizing Norton’s AP Workshop presence.
•Assisting High School Director in the recruiting process.
•Assisting High School Director with special projects.
•Occasional travel to assist with sales efforts at teaching conferences.
•Researching trends in secondary school education, including AP courses and the College Board and implementation of the Common Core State Standards.
•Creation and maintenance of high school web ads in consultation with Marketing Manager
•Maintenance of High School Digital Catalog
•Keeping inventory of all marketing collateral for the High School Group
•Manage all marketing reviews, from designing review, inviting reviewers, and collating responses

Required Qualifications:

•Minimum of a BS or BA, or equivalent experience.
•An interest in the business of publishing.
•An interest in sales and marketing fields of publishing.
•Highly organized and resourceful.
•Comfortable working collaboratively with various groups of people.
•Fluency in the full Microsoft Office software suite.
•Familiarity with InDesign a plus.
•Excellent interpersonal skills.
•Comfort taking initiative and improving upon current departmental processes.
•Experience working in a deadline-driven environment.
•Must be able to work regular business hours in our NYC office.
•Employment eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company in the US is required.
