 Requirements: 
Ingram Publisher Services, an Ingram Content Group (ICG) company, is currently seeking a Sales & Operations Analyst with experience in sales, marketing, publishing or distribution to join our team in New York City. In this role, the Sales Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Ingram Publisher Services Sales and Client Relations teams by producing various sales reports and conducting analysis to help the team measure effectiveness toward achieving its goals.

The Sales & Operations Analyst will work cross-functionally and be the liaison between Sales, Operations, Client Relations, IT, and other ICG departments to ensure timely and accurate data is available to support our reporting and analysis efforts. This role is also responsible for maintaining sales rep data in our systems, and will help to support our standard reporting packages for both internal and client publisher purposes.

Essential Job Duties:

Compile and analyze sales information from various sources into comprehensive documents and manipulate large amounts of data.
Transform raw data into meaningful and useful reports to reveal sales and operational performance insights, and to enable effective strategic and tactical decision making
Partner with sales associates, clients, and other internal departments to determine specific needs and provide analytical support to enhance and/or solidify existing business relationships and new business initiatives.
Produce regular, periodic (daily, weekly, and monthly), and ad hoc business analytics and other reports to be used by sales, clients and senior management.
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the Sales Tracking projection system and sales rep coding.
Perform various information-gathering tasks such as Financial and Sales performance, backlist analysis, sales channel analysis, industry trends analysis, historical sales volume, product availability, and demand forecasting that will be presented to clients or senior leadership.
Analyze existing customers’ unique needs/requirements to identify opportunities for the development of programs/services/reports beneficial to multiple customers.
Assist in preparing presentations for monthly business development meetings and clients’ business reviews or updates
Collaborate with the Director of Business Operations & Analysis to streamline processes and create dashboards/templates for accurate reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or year for year related experience
3+ years of experience with business or data analysis
Advanced skills in Excel and other MS Office Applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related analytical studies.
Experience in publishing, logistics, book retail, supply chain, operations, or product distribution/procurement
Experience with reporting, forecasting, and analyzing sales data
Experience with additional reporting platforms and databases
