AIP Publishing, a leading publisher in the STM market seeks an Assistant Marketing Manager who will be responsible for planning and execution of marketing campaigns designed to drive brand awareness, submissions, usage and engagement with a portfolio of AIPP and/or Member Society journals.
…possess strong attention to detail and the ability to plan and follow through with clients to ensure satisfaction
…have efficient work habits and overall flexibility
…possess excellent written communication skills, with experience writing and editing copy for internal and external newsletters, reports or promotions
…are a self-starter, and possess the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with internal teams
…are able to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
…have the ability to adapt to and perform in a fast-paced, changing environment
…are results oriented, and have the ability to think creatively and strategically

You will be responsible for:
…working with journal managers and departmental management to set objectives and determine marketing strategy for managed products
…implementing cross-channel marketing campaigns (email marketing, event marketing, social media, and advertising) promoting content of a suite of journals, with aim to drive usage and encourage submissions
…assisting in the launch of new journals or products as needed
…tracking and analyzing results of marketing campaigns, including monthly budget reconciliation and monitoring ROI
…communicating goals, initiatives, and results of marketing campaigns to internal stakeholders
…representing AIP Publishing at conferences and plan and execute receptions and events to promote AIPP and Member Society journals and products

You should have:
…a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related function
…a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in marketing
…proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office
…excellent interpersonal/people skills
…strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
…excellent verbal and written communication skills
…the ability to travel up to 10%

You may have:
…experience working for an STM publisher, or working knowledge of scientific publishing
