 Requirements: 
We are seeking a Publicity Manager to join our St. Martin's Press team. This position will be responsible for creating and executing major publicity campaigns for a variety of nonfiction books including political, current events, history, business, and humor titles. There are opportunities to work on some fiction as well.

Major Responsibilities:

• Planning multicity book tours and author appearances, including coordinating book signings, arranging travel, creating comprehensive tour schedules and accompanying authors to events.
• Pitching and securing national and regional TV, print, radio and online media for a wide variety of titles.
• Writing press materials, including compelling press releases and creative pitch letters.
• Researching new media outlets and creating targeted mailing lists.
• Working closely with the publicity team, as well as authors, publishers, editors, sales and marketing teams.

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Strong relationships with media contacts and a creative approach to pitching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detailed-oriented, well-organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to book top national media.

Experience Needed:

• 5+ years book publicity experience required.

Educational Background Required:

• 4-year college degree or equivalent business experience.
