 Requirements: 
Penguin Random House is seeking a Publicist or Senior Publicist to work within the Avery and Pam Krauss Books imprints. Reporting to the Director of Publicity, this role will manage all aspects of book campaigns and author tours and will interact with authors, media, editors, agents, and event coordinators. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with titles in the cookbook, health and wellness, and serious non-fiction categories. If you're looking to play a major role in expanding the culinary-focused aspects of these imprints, this may be the perfect position for you!

Specific responsibilities include:
* Creating and executing publicity campaigns for Avery and Pam Krauss Books.
* Pitching and securing national and local print, broadcast, and online media.
* Writing press materials relating to a book's campaign, including press releases, pitch letters, and other promotional materials.
* Creating and managing media lists and building strong relationships with key media contacts.
* Pitching and scheduling author events and interviews, coordinating travel and hotel accommodations for touring authors, and creating detailed tour schedules.
* Collaborating closely with the Editorial, Marketing, Sales, and Promotional teams to create successful campaigns.
* Keeping detailed records of confirmed reviews, interviews, press coverage, and author appearances.
* Processing invoices.
* Supervising a seasonal intern on all assigned tasks.

Please apply if you meet the following minimum requirements:
* 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
* Minimum of 3-4 years of publicity experience, publishing experience a plus
* Experience publicizing cookbooks or working within the foodie press is strongly preferred
* Proven ability to generate creative angles and pitches
* Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
* Proven ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize
* Superior presentation skills
* Excellent communication and organization skills
* Exceptional writing skills and strong attention to detail
* Understanding of social media as a marketing tool
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
* Knowledge of Cision, Muckrack and Publishers Work Bench a plus
