 Requirements: 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager or an Associate Sales Manager to join the DK Special Markets department at Penguin Random House. This position involves selling DK's breadth of titles for give-away opportunities, custom print deals and offering unique digital solutions to new and existing accounts.

Specific responsibilities include:
* Selling frontlist, backlist titles and content for premium, custom and digital use to various accounts.
* Pitching book products to new and existing customers, sourcing contacts, opening new accounts, and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
* Managing all day-to-day business such as submitting and tracking orders, running P&L statements, providing quotes, and negotiating prices on custom editions.
* Forecasting monthly and annual sales goals by compiling product line reviews.
* Identifying new concepts and opportunities within accounts to drive both revenue and profit.
* Participating in meetings with the Marketing teams and Publishers to identify trends and pitch ideas.
* Attending regular in-house sales presentations, customer specific sale meetings, and trade shows.

* 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
* Minimum of 3 years' sales experience within Special Markets or other non-trade Sales channels, including direct selling
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively problem solve
* Strong negotiation and presentation skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Highly organized with the ability to self-start and manage multiple competing priorities
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Knowledge of SAP and XML a plus
