Senior Designer Trade Marketing - Random House Children's Books

The Random House Children's Publishing Group seeks a Marketing Senior Designer to join their Trade Marketing team. This position reports to the Art Director, Trade Marketing.

Main Responsibilities Include:
* Design Lead and Key title campaigns including print and digital marketing materials to support marketing efforts, including advertising, activity kits, merchandising/POP materials, mailings, and social media assets
* Develop campaign visuals from concept to final production across all Trade categories: Picture Book, Middle-Grade, and Young Adult
* Prep files for final printed or digital release
* Work closely with Trade Marketing, Digital Marketing and Publicity staff on submitted projects, including routing passes and maintaining consistency across all channels
* Work closely with Book Design staff to gather most up to date assets and with Production staff to ensure all projects are on spec
* Delegate design work to out-of-house freelance talent as needed

Qualifications Include:
* 5-7 years marketing design experience
* Experience in children's trade marketing a plus
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office programs
* Knowledge of Flash or Adobe Animate a plus
* Experience with 4 color printing/pre-press file preparation
* Self-motivated, able to prioritize, and can work independently as well as in a team
* Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Candidate should be proactive and exceptionally organized, able to meet deadlines
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Interest in marketing and children's publishing specifically (preferred)
