Should I get your e-mails automatically, or do I need to sign up somewhere? |
|||
If you are a new member, you should begin receiving the Lunch Deluxe newsletters you opted into within one working day after signing up. Existing members may change their e-mail address and newsletter preferences in the "newsletters" section of their Account page. Changes will take effect immediately, beginning with the next mailing. |

Check with your Internet provider, technical department, and/or any mail filtering/blocking software you might use, and thoroughly search any bulk mail or spam folders you may have. (Note that searching your own personal spam folder is usually not enough; your company mail provider and even your Internet provider can filter or block mail before it ever gets to your individual email client.) We recently switched to a new mail service, so make sure they are allowing mail from the sending address daily@publisherslunch.com (dedicated IP address: 173.236.20.10).
And please note, Lunch Deluxe is posted to PublishersMarketplace.com
at the same time it is mailed, and every issue is archived there as well.

I did what you suggested in FAQ #2, but I'm still not getting it. What else can I try? |
|||
You can e-mail us at lunch@publishersmarketplace.com and we'll check your record to make sure it's live in the mail database and correct. Sometimes if you use a mail autoreply for more than a couple of days, the system thinks your address is no longer live and stops mailing you. To the best of our knowledge, popular web-mail services such as Yahoo and Gmail will never block our mail, but they can put it in the bulk/spam folder on any given day, even if they usually let it through. Yahoo will let you create a "filter" in which you tell it to always put Publishers Lunch and Lunch Weekly into your inbox. Go to: Options > Management: Filters. Gmail lets you create a "filter" that will "star" the mail (or other actions that you can specify). Go to: Settings > Filters. |

What's weird is that I get the nightly deals fine, but Lunch Deluxe stopped coming. Why is that happening? |

To fix this, and in general to select which newsletters you'd like to receive, head to your Account page and update your newsletter settings. |

I've missed certain back issues of Lunch Deluxe or Lunch Weekly. Can you send them to me? |
|||
ALL daily and weekly issues are archived by date in the Publishers
Lunch Deluxe archive. Just click the "lunch news blog" tab on the left,
or go directly to: |

Whenever I click on a link in Lunch Deluxe to a Publishers Marketplace page (such as Deals or Automat), I'm taken to a Log-in page, but I can't log in. How do I fix this? |
|||
If by "can't log in," you mean (a) that you're getting an error message that your user name or password is incorrect, or (b) that you have forgotten your user name or password, then you should complete and submit our Password Reset form, and we'll send a reset link to the e-mail address we have on file. Otherwise, if your log-in isn't rejected but simply doesn't log you in, then you're experiencing one of two problems. Either (a) your Web browser is not accepting "cookies" from Publishers Marketplace; or (b) your e-mail program and/or Web browser is not properly handling the links in Lunch Deluxe. If you receive Lunch Deluxe from our standard e-mail dispatch service (i.e., from lunch@publisherslunchdaily.com), all the links are specially encoded. Your e-mail program should send the encoded link to your browser, and your browser should translate it back into the original link. However, certain browser settings may prevent the proper translation, which will lead to log-in problems.
First, make sure that you're accepting cookies from Publishers Marketplace.
Visit our dedicated Log-in page:
Assuming that you entered a correct user name and password, submitting
the Log-in form will take you to our Home page. You should
see a note that you're logged in at the top of the left column. If you
don't see that note, but rather see another log-in form, then the
problem is that your browser is not accepting cookies from Publishers
Marketplace. To fix that problem, see these two pages: Otherwise, if the Home page shows that you're logged in, you have two options. You may either (1) bookmark the Publishers Marketplace pages you visit most frequently (in Internet Explorer, this means adding them to your "Favorites" menu); or (2) change your e-mail preferences to have us send Lunch Deluxe directly from the Publishers Marketplace server, so that the links are not encoded. For option (2), see FAQ #3, above. For option (1), use the tabs in the left menu on the Marketplace Home page to view each of the pages you visit most often. Once you're viewing the correct page, use the Bookmarks or Favorites menu to add the bookmark to your browser. Then return to the Home page and repeat as necessary. Once you're finished, you may view Publisheres Marketplace pages by selecting them from your Bookmarks/Favorites menu, rather than by clicking links in Lunch Deluxe. Since you checked the "Remember me" box when logging in, you won't be asked to log in again for a month (assuming that your browser is accepting my cookies). After a month, you'll need to log in again. |

I unsubscribed from the Lunch Deluxe e-mail, but you are still charging me a membership fee. Why am I being charged? |
|||
All of our e-mail newsletters (Publishers Lunch Deluxe, Daily Deals, etc.) are strictly optional benefits of a Publishers Marketplace membership. Unsubscribing from an e-mail list does not affect your membership status. When you completed the registration form at PublishersMarketplace.com, you were registering for access to the premium features of our Web site, and not just for the optional Lunch Deluxe mail. One may continue to be a Marketplace member, with full access to our Web site, even if one does not wish to receive any of our e-mail newsletters. And just as you were required to complete a form to establish a Publishers Marketplace Web site account, you must complete and submit a form to cancel that Web site account. We provide a link to the cancellation form on numerous pages at PublishersMarketplace.com. If you wish to cancel your account entirely, please use the Cancel Your Account form. |
