The Sneaker Kings
Mar. 22, 2014
Author:  Omar Tyree
Category:  Fiction: New Adult
Description:  Someone has finally written a high-concept New Adult contemporary trilogy about the insane world of SNEAKERHEADS and it's none other than New York Times best-selling author Omar Tyree. The Sneaker Kings Trilogy was conceived by Omar Tyree as a feature film idea and possible franchise vehicle for international pop star and icon, Justin Bieber. Incidentally, Mr. Tyree has two sneaker fanatic sons, who were an inspiration for this exciting new series. The Sneaker Kings Trilogy features a team of young sneaker fanatics who hustle their way to legendary status through national shoe conventions, events and savvy marketing. In this trilogy, Omar Tyree delves into the world of Sneakerheads, or young men who love sneakers, the girls who love them, and the sneaker companies and individual shoes that these die-hard sneaker fanatics go crazy for. The beauty of this New Adult series is that Omar Tyree wrote the main character Brandon Jenkins with superstar pop icon Justin Bieber in mind to resurrect the positive karma of his career. This trilogy could very well become Bieber's first film vehicle that would attract young men as well as his traditional girl fan base. The series is ready to rock with the first title The Sneaker Kings complete and available to be acquired by the best fit as a publisher.

Omar Tyree has become one of the few writers to have best sellers in multiple categories including fiction, business and children's books. After having sold 2 million books with an estimated readership of 8 million, he now returns to offer the younger age group demographic—who would love to read something new and different—an updated series that is more contemporary and mainstream. Mr. Tyree is perhaps best known for his all-time best-selling book series Flyy Girl which is now headed for the silver screen. Recently the option rights to all three books in the series were acquired by Code Black Films in partnership with LionsGate. Interestingly, Tyree's most popular Flyy Girl series would easily fit the New Adult age group and genre more so than the rest of his urban adult fiction title, making the The Sneaker Kings Trilogy a much better fit for his stronger book sales.

Award recipient for Outstanding Literature in Fiction, a 2006 Phillis Wheatley
Literary Award winner for Body of Work in Urban Fiction, and a 2010 HBCU
Legends Award recipient. He has been cited by the City Council of Philadelphia
for his work in Urban Literacy, and has published 27 books and counting, with
more than 2 million copies sold worldwide that have generated more than $30
million. With a degree in Print Journalism from Howard University in 1991,
Tyree has been recognized as one of the most renown contemporary writers in
the American community. In the Spring of 2008, he founded the Urban Literacy

distribution with Scholastic Books.

Well known for his self-published book "Flyy Girl" an urban fiction classic
that was republished by Simon & Schuster in the late 1990s and sold nearly
a million copies in various releases, Tyree has inspired millions of new
readers in the young urban American marketplace, along with dozens of new
writers in the "urban contemporary fiction" genre. Tyree now returns to the young
adult and new adult readers with "The Sneaker Kings" trilogy for not only
"urban readers" but for a more broad readership of American youth.

An informed and passionate speaker on various community-related and
intellectual topics, Tyree continues to expand his versatile writing with film
developments in the works as well as a new international Traveler series just
released with "Welcome to Dubai." Tyree is a tireless creator and visionary of
few limitations. For more information on his work and titles, please view
