Misdirected
Mar. 12, 2013
Author:  Ali Berman
Category:  Children's: Young Adult
Description:  Fifteen-year-old amateur magician Ben Pinter never thought the fact that he didn't believe in god was a big deal. That is, until his parents moved him from Massachusetts to a conservative religious school in Colorado. With help and guidance from his gay sister who is off at college and his brother who is stationed in Iraq, Ben tries to find a way to live in a town where tolerance and understanding for those with different beliefs is in short supply, in the process learning that respect has to go in both directions.
