Description:

Butterfly: The Katie Collman File, is an account of the January 2005 rape and murder of a 10-year-old girl in the small town of Crothersville, Indiana based on more than 7,000 pages of FBI documents and dozens of interviews.
It chronicles the frantic five-day search for Katie after she disappeared while on an after-school errand to a store less than three blocks from home, the arrest of the wrong man based on a false confession obtained by the FBI relying on a made-up tale of methamphetamine addicts who wanted to silence Katie after she saw them cooking the drug, the months of investigation as the confession unraveled, and the lucky break that led to a CSI-style finding of the real killer.
