Pharaoh's Star
July 26, 2010
Author:  Vera Jane Cook
Category:  Fiction: Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Description:  Under the light of a full moon, on a forgotten back road, a strange and mystical experience leads Nick Dowling on a frantic search for answers about the reality of his identity. Why is his hometown unfamiliar? Why don't his childhood friends recognize him? And how can he explain why he bears a striking resemblance to a man who killed his wife and child years ago, and is presumed dead?

A second home in the mountains is supposed to bring tranquility, but for Nick Dowling it brings the horror of an unraveling past filled with nightmarish visions and the recurring memory of a murder. Believing that aliens have transferred another man's memories into his mind, he must find and seek the help of an alien abduction expert in order to restore his sanity, while his wife calls upon a therapist to explain her husband's delusions. As their marriage unravels, each desperately searches for the truth, but whose truth will ultimately prevail?
