Me & Joe

Description:  Author Chris Bernard holds up his adventures in the wilds of Alaska against those of his ancestor, Capt. Joe Bernard, an explorer, free trader, hunter and boat-builder, using the narrative as a means of exploring topical aspects of the Last Frontier rarely exposed in other work, and revealing how Alaska has -- and has not -- changed in the century separating them.
