The Glass Factory
Mar. 7, 2017
Author:  Braxton McCoy
Category:  Non-fiction: Memoir
Description:  January 2006, in the early stages of The Battle of Ramadi, I was severely wounded by a suicide bomber. My back was broken, I had a bTBI, most of the bones in my right hand were broken, both arms were broken, I sustained multiple bilateral femur fractures and massive amounts of soft tissue damage. When I reached Walter Reed Army Medical Center the orthopedic surgeons expected that it would be 18 months - if ever - I were able to walk again. Now, 10 years later, I ran (and should have won) my first biathlon and I am currently training to run an ultra marathon.

I have composed a first draft manuscript. To many the story has an inspirational leaning, but the way I see it the book is actually the most open and honest first hand account of living with cPTSD written in this decade.

Contact me at braxtonbrianmccoy@gmail.com if you would like to hear more. I often work as a public speaker as well.
