CHOICES, A novel. This is a story (set in current time in San Francisco) of a Jewish architect who is a holocaust survivor, sent to a hospice when his son and daughter-in-law refuse to care for him. There, he meets a Black Gay Pulitzer Prize writer. Together they come to understand how their lives have been shaped and connected by similar choices made as children in very different settings, and how those choices will effect how they will experience their own deaths.

Opening Line----My daughter-in-law knew I was dying and was more concerned about the appearance of her kitchen than she was with my simple request--to move a piece of furniture just enough so I could move my wheelchair to the window and look at the Golden Gate Bridge one last time
