In the past 4+ years I have read over 200 books mostly NYT best sellers and/or top selling authors. Grogan’s action thriller, 'bin Laden's Revenge' rates in my top 5 of all the books I have read. There are 3 reasons. The first is central plot is current, credible, and exciting. The second is the sub plots stand alone and do not distract but compliment the central plot. The third, and most important, is no superfluous ramblings to fill pages. For example, a recent book I read by Baldacci, Zero Day, had over 200 pages of unnecessary story line that had nothing to do with the plot. Zero Day had pages upon pages of what the characters ate for breakfast lunch, and dinner. I found none of this in Grogan’s thriller. If you want a really great book, buy this one.

Plot: Recently seized documents reveal al-Qaida terrorist leader Osama bin Laden planned a 9/11 anniversary attack on American soil, using sleeper cells he established 10 years earlier.

This is the premise of S.P. Grogan's third novel, a political action thriller, BIN LADEN'S REVENGE

BIN LADEN'S REVENGE informs us it has since become public knowledge there was a third courier, who reported directly from bin Laden to the Supreme Council of al-Qaida and was there at the Abbottabad compound the night bin Laden is killed. The courier escapes to activate Crimson Scimitar, a plan designed to lay waste to much of Southwestern United States.

Who can stop Crimson Scimitar and defeat al-Qaida in America? It might be the FBI, CIA or the U.S. military. The heroes could even be the cast of an American reality TV show.

‘Cooked’ Mystery Receives Hawaii Book Publishers Award

Captain Cooked by S.P. Grogan, has been recognized by the Hawai’i Book Publishers Association (HBPA) with a 2011 Ka Palapla Po'okela Award, and one of two novels this year to receive the Aloha from Across the Sea special award which recognizes excellence in books about Hawai'i or with a Hawaiian theme which are published outside of the state.
The HBPA Awards ceremonies were held on May 6th in Honolulu, and local distributors of Captain Cooked, the Islander Group (Booklines Hawai'i), accepted the award on behalf of author S.P.
