Susan Chodakiewitz is a writer and composer. Her company State of the ART -- Bringing Stories to Life develops stories for film, television, theatre, books and children's literature.

Susan writes children's books, music and lyrics for musical theatre, and produces. She has produced various staged readings of new musicals in Los Angeles and is currently developing several projects for TV and film with her State of the ART partner Phyllis Zimbler Miller. When Grandma Molly bakes her famous "Grandma Cookies," the entire neighborhood breaks out in symptoms of "Cookie Fever" -- an exuberant happiness characterized by teachers giving out A's to all the pupils, parents letting their kids take a day off from school, and dogs and cats playing happily side by side. Even the birds chirp louder. But little Annie's big mistake while helping Grandma bake may end the "Cookie Fever" outbreak forever.

Vanillaville -- a middle grade novel by Susan Chodakiewitz.
