Sarah Weinman is the News Editor for Publishers Marketplace. Previously she reported on the publishing industry for DailyFinance, and she currently contributes a monthly crime fiction column to the Los Angeles Times and a monthly Q&A with authors on personal finance for Currency. Her work has also appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Daily Beast, Maclean's, the Guardian, and many other print and online publications. She's also been a guest of New Hampshire Public Radio's "Word of Mouth" and MPR's "Midmorning", and has spoken on a variety of publishing topics at Book Expo America, Digital Book World, and Tools of Change
Her blog, Confessions of an Idiosyncratic Mind, was hailed by USA TODAY as "a respected resource for commentary on crime fiction." After seven years, it's now on hiatus, awaiting a major overhaul and desperately needed site upgrade. That means when not working or freelancing she can be found on Twitter (@sarahw) Tumblr (offonatangent.tumblr.com) and, in real life, in Brooklyn close to the subway line voted as the worst in New York City several years running.
