Marly Rusoff & Associates, Inc. was founded by Marly Rusoff, who was a publishing executive for over twenty years at Houghton Mifflin, Doubleday, and William Morrow before opening her agency in New York in 2001.

With a combination of marketing, publicity, and editorial experience, our staff is well positioned to support authors in all stages of their work, from developing book proposals to overseeing the marketing and promotion of our authors’ work. Years of experience from inside the publishing houses themselves allow us to work closely with a wide variety of major presses.

Although we are an intentionally small agency, our commitment to the highest literary quality has made us particularly successful with placing fiction, first-time writers, and literary non-fiction. Our client list of best-selling and award-winning authors includes Pat Conroy, Arthur Phillips, Elif Shafak, Cassandra King, Robert Alexander, Lisa Tucker, Ron Rash, Adam Langer, Patricia Hampl, Dr. Gail Saltz, Dr. David Walsh, and more.
