I have more than 15 years of experience writing for custom, trade, and national consumer magazines. As you can see from my website, I've written hundreds of stories on a range of topics for a diverse group of clients. I've thrown myself into each and every story since I love learning about new things and people (I'm a geek that way).
But I do more than just feature writing. I’m also a ghostwriter.
If you’ve been thinking about writing a book about your expertise or experiences – but just haven’t had the time to tackle it – I’d love to offer my services to work with you as a ghostwriter or co-author. As the author of ten books (two of which are award-winning), I know how to sculpt an idea from start to finish. Plus, I’ve got 15 years of experience in taking complex topics and transforming them into compelling language for the everyday reader. Some of the ways I can help you:
• Full book. Whether you want to boost your speaking career, offer a book to your clients, share your message with a larger audience, or give yourself access to the national media, a book can be the right vehicle. I’m happy to talk with you about your skills, expertise, and insights to craft a book that you can be proud of. I can help you with the entire project – assessing your topic, writing a full proposal, and completing the book on time and to your satisfaction.
• Ghostwriting social media. No time to do all those Tweets, Facebook business status updates, or blog posts? I’m happy to write them on your behalf to keep you connected. (I’m trustworthy, discreet, and fiercely loyal, too, so you don’t have to worry that I’ll post crazy party pictures, either.)
• Speeches. Along with my writing experience, I also have a degree in psychology. Plus, I’ve led training groups for over ten years. That means I can help turn your ideas into a strong speech that will really resonate with your audience.
I’ve written hundreds of articles on topics from Mickey Mouse to lab rats. My national consumer magazine clients include Better Homes & Gardens, Woman’s Day, Family Circle, Parents, Ladies’ Home Journal, and others. I’ve written for clients including Disney, National Geographic, BJ’s Wholesale Club, and MSN.com. I’m as comfortable writing a “how to” for a woman’s magazine as I am writing copy for an advertisement or a trade story on water fountains.
I was raised believing in the good old-fashioned qualities of hard work, honesty, and respect -- it's how I live my life and run my business today. I've never missed a deadline and I'm happy to work with my clients to provide copy they need -- and their readers want. A bonus: I've got an imagination that never takes a vacation, so I'm always searching for fun new twists and creative ways to approach even evergreen topics. And tight turnarounds? Not a problem.
Please keep me in mind for any ghosting, writing, or editing projects you may need!
