Prior to launching her boutique Publishing & Strategy practice, Janet held increasingly senior editorial and management positions at HarperCollins Publishers, was part of the executive start-up team at Broadway Books, and was an executive editor and director of the Penguin Compass spirituality imprint at Viking Penguin. She has directed the book section of the NYU Summer Publishing Institute since 2005, is a regular participant in the annual book publishing workshop at the University of Michigan, and has spoken at the Small Press Center, the ASJA, and other venues.
