Prior to launching her boutique Publishing & Strategy practice, Janet held increasingly senior editorial and management positions at HarperCollins Publishers, was part of the executive start-up team at Broadway Books, and was an executive editor and director of the Penguin Compass spirituality imprint at Viking Penguin. She was the book director of the NYU Summer Publishing Institute from 2005 through 2008 and she has spoken at University of Michigan, City College of New York City, the Wealthy Though Leader conference, the San Miguel de Allende Writers Conference, the Small Press Center, the ASJA, and many other live and virtual events.
