Best Easy Day Hikes Long Island
by Susan Finch
|
We hope the bookbuying public is ready for PUBLISH THIS BOOK, due out Mar. 9. PW reviewed it in this week's issue, and advance publicity efforts have been most encouraging. Steve Markley the wunderkind is the author, of Red Eye(Chicago, Tribune Media) fame.
This is the one book we have seen in some time that actually captures college nostalgia without being boring. The premise is the road to getting published: the form rejection letters, the not-hearing, the seemingly endless road to finding an agent and a publisher. Sourcebooks has a publicity campaign to end all publicity campaigns, so look for Steve's face and voice in a town near you beginning in February, except Chicago where they have been enjoying Steve for some time now.
By the way, we have already had film queries on this book!
We have placed 20 + travel authors in plum book assigments in the last 3 months. For some, it will be their first book, but for many this is another in a long line of titles. They will pen INSIDER'S , BEST DAY TRIPS, CHEAP BASTARDS and QUICK ESCAPES guides.
More travel titles will need authors in February..check back with us then.
PUBLISHERS NOTE: Are you thinking of placing an ad on Craig's List or other writers sites to pen your next book idea? Contact us first. We have accomplished writers in all non-fiction genres with credentials and experience to match your project.
********************************************************************************************
Specialities of the house are health, self-help, art, architecture, both literary and reference travel.
We love to place authors with major houses, then coach them through the marketing process. Most agencies sell the book, then stop working. Our approach is to see the book through from concept to commercial success.
NOTE: We also do contract and sale consulting for authors who are working unagented. Consulting inquiries welcome.
