I have recently completed my first novel, Napoleon's Gambit: Sailing through history to commit the perfect crime.
Agents and Publishers appear leery of tackling a cross-genre book (time-travel and historical fiction), and so I have adopted the field of dreams approach: I have self-published it thinking that if I sell enough copies, they will come.
Napoleon's Gambit is an historical adventure, blending fact and fiction. The book's website separates truth from invention and contains maps, photos, annotated notes and an illustrated glossary of nautical terms.
Between July 28th, 2008 and October 15th, 2008, the first 12 chapters of the book will be available for free in the form of Podcasts or PDFs. The Chapters will be released one a week between these dates, and the book officially goes on sale on October 15th. It will be available from Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Chapters and any bookstore served by Ingrams and Baker & Taylor, as well as from its website.
Napoleon's Gambit is available as a PDF, Audiobook, e-book or Paperback. Please visit www.napoleonsgambit.com for more details.
