How to Contact:
Email only. Write "Query" as the first word of the subject line to ensure your message does not get lost to spam. Email a one-page query (no attachments) that introduces your manuscript and your background, as well as the books market and how to reach it. If your manuscript is requested, please be prepared to email the entire manuscript for fiction, or a proposal for non-fiction. Requested manuscripts should be emailed as a Word attachment, double-spaced with name, title and contact info. on each page.
Background:
Emma Penick graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 1998 with a degree in Sociology. She then worked in management consulting in New York before attending Harvard Business School (2003). Emma has experience editing books (references available upon request) and keeps her skills fresh by continually taking courses (New York University). Emma works closely with each client, from editing to negotiating a publishing contract and beyond.
Terms:
Agent receives 15% commission on domestic sales. No reading fee. Offers written contract which can be terminated at any time via registered mail.
