Dan Conaway
Writers House

I'm a literary agent at Writers House and represent an extensive list of bestselling and award-winning novelists, crime writers, biographers, memoirists, journalists and historians.

Prior to joining Writers House in 2006, I worked as Executive Editor at Putnam, Executive Editor at HarperCollins, and Director of Literary Acquisitions at PolyGram Filmed Entertainment. I started my career as a College Traveler at the wonderful independent publisher W.W. Norton, where I went on to become the King of Junk-Mail. (One of those was, and remains, an actual job title.) I also created the now-retired blog BookAngst 101, an insider's account of the publishing industry, writing under the pseudonym Mad Max Perkins.
