ZERO WORLD by New York Times bestselling author Jason M. Hough

Art. Patience. Discipline.

My greatest strength as an agent is in strategizing profitable long-term careers for my authors. I want my clients to love the books they write and make money writing them. Crafting that kind of balance between artistic and commercial success takes strategy and teamwork and, as stated above, "Art. Patience. Discipline."

In terms of personality, I tend to be pretty chatty with my clients. In my experience, setting clear expectations and explaining publishing processes helps my authors focus on writing great books. So, I communicate regularly and keep my client list small enough to support each author effectively.

I represent authors who write middle grade, young adult, romance, science fiction and fantasy. Please no picture books, early readers, nonfiction, commercial fiction, horror, mystery or women's fiction. A book must be 100% complete and never previously published in order to query but as long as it meets these requirements, bring it on! I read all queries myself and am actively acquiring. My query email address is and my turn around time for queries is 4-12 days.

I try to answer professional questions as time allows on twitter @SaraMegibow
